There is a geometry in nature that no design school teaches.
The Nautilus Shell Bowl is a hand-cast gypsum vessel shaped after the coiled, spiraling form of a nautilus — with a deep circular opening, smooth flowing ridges that wrap the body, and a coiled base that gives it a natural place to rest. It functions as both a catchall and a planter, as comfortable holding a succulent as it is holding a ring or a piece of sea glass.
Place it on a console, a dresser, a bathroom shelf, or a coffee table where its form can be seen from above as much as from the side. It belongs alongside the Starfish Tray and Sea Turtle Tray as part of a coastal collection that feels found rather than purchased.
Each piece is hand-cast individually, which means no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in texture, tone, and surface character are inherent to the nature of gypsum casting — and part of what makes your piece distinctly yours.
